Test
1
Detectors A and B preset prior to calibration runs, to establish the
initial base volume.
Test 2
Detectors A and B removed. Detector A replaced by detector B, and a
new detector C substituted in the previous position of detector B.
Test 3
As Test 2, but at a reduced flow rate.
Test 4
Detector C replaced by detector A
from Test 1.
The total spread of results from the four tests
was only 0.0068%. |

'Micro-set'
meter prover sphere detectors have shown themselves repeatable
and reliable on NGL, butane, propane, refined petroleum products, and
crude oil. The detectors have performed well on hot, heavy, waxy crude
oil, and special flushing ports can be incorporated to enable cleaning
during shut-down in extreme circumstances.
It is not only on new meter provers that the operator can benefit from
the 'Micro-set' sphere detector, a series of models
allows retro-fit for many existing makes of sphere detectors reaching
the end of their useful operating lifetime. |
